Why AT&T is handling a billion dollar mistake

The Hollywood studio Warner Bros. on 31. March sends his science fiction battle “Godzilla vs. Kong” to the cinema: “Legends collide when Godzilla and Kong, the most powerful forces of nature, fight a spectacular battle for eternity on the screen.”

In retrospect, however, the advertising slogan reads more like the motto of a secret meeting that took place in a New York townhouse the day after the cinema release. The host: David Zaslav, head of the television company Discovery. His guest: John Stankey, CEO of the telecommunications giant AT&T. The subject of their negotiations: Warner Media, the entertainment group to which, in addition to the Warner Bros. film studios, the news channel
