Pennsylvania Republican United States Senate nominee Doctor Mehmet Oz recently quipped to his volunteer canvassers to confiscate car keys from voters who disagree with his campaign’s vision of where the United States is headed.
Oz, who up until declaring his candidacy lived in neighboring New Jersey, has the endorsement of former President Donald Trump and is trailing in the polls against Pennsylvania’s Democratic Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman. The victor in the closely-watched race could determine which party will hold the Senate majority after the November midterm elections.
“Let me leave you with the one question – the one question – that you have to ask every single person whose door you knock on. Just keep focused. If you’re not talking about the economy, talking about crime, and talking about fentanyl, and the border, you’re losing opportunities, precious moments wasted, ’cause there’s no way that a voter can look at those three options and think the Democratic Party has answers. Quite the opposite,” Oz said during a pep talk to his foot soldiers.
