Rome, 8 March (Adnkronos) – “We are supporting the various national sports federations which are showing great solidarity with Ukrainian athletes. Athletes have arrived in Ostia who will be hosted in the federal center of the FIN and this is a nice message of solidarity”. The undersecretary for sport Valentina Vezzali said about the many initiatives that are being carried out in the world of sport towards Ukrainian athletes affected by the conflict with Russia. “It is likely that athletes from other sports disciplines will be able to arrive. I am happy with the openness and sharing with other presidents, demonstrating that Italy is there and wants to welcome all Ukrainian athletes with open arms”, added Vezzali.
