Under 398 forints

Before three-quarters in the afternoon, the forint passed the 397 euro exchange rate and is already besieging 398. It is almost 1 percent down.

Compared to the euro, the forint is down 0.6 percent and hovers around the exchange rate of 397.

It also weakened against the dollar by about 0.5 percent. This means an exchange rate close to 374.

Compared to the euro, the forint weakened by almost 0.5 percent, or 2 forints, by the early afternoon, and its exchange rate ranges between 396 and 397.

Compared to the dollar, it weakened by 0.25 percent, which means an exchange rate of 372-373.

One dollar costs HUF 372.6, which means that the domestic currency has weakened by 0.2 percent.

By early afternoon, the euro had risen above 397, which means a 0.6% weakening of the forint compared to Thursday evening. Meanwhile, the dollar is also slowly recovering from the morning’s weakness, which again puts pressure on the Hungarian currency.

The exchange rate of the euro is HUF 395.5, which means a weakening of almost HUF 1.

At the beginning of the day, the forint moved in a positive range against the dollar, but now it is moving around the level of yesterday evening, which means an exchange rate of around 372.

The forint fell slightly against the euro, standing at -0.15 percent after 11 p.m. In the first part of the day, it moved more in a positive range.

Currently, HUF 395.1 must be paid for it.

The euro is quoted at around HUF 394.6, hovering around the exchange rate of Thursday evening after it had already gained 0.5 percent in the morning.

The forint started to strengthen at 9 o’clock. The euro weakened by 0.5 percent against the Hungarian currency, and the dollar by almost 1 percent.

This means an exchange rate of 392.8 euros and 368.7 dollars.

The dollar exchange rate hovers around 370, the forint is almost 0.5 percent stronger than last night.

On Friday morning, the forint was around 394.5 against the euro, which represented a minimal change compared to last night. The Hungarian currency weakened above the psychological limit of 400 for the first time in two months on Wednesday, and then tested the limit again yesterday after the ECB interest rate decision meeting. For now, the exchange rate is clearly driven by the international sentiment, investors continue to fear the spread of the infection after the American bank failures. In this mood, factors indicating the vulnerability of the forint came to the surface, such as the uncertain fate of EU funds or doubts about monetary policy. At the same time, if the international market were to calm down, the forint would probably also get a breather and could correct the significant fall of the last few days. Against the dollar, we are now around 370.4, while the British pound stands at 450 forints.

Among the forint’s closest competitors, the Polish zloty gained 0.1 percent and the Czech crown stagnated against the euro. In the emerging market, the Turkish lira barely moves, while the Russian ruble is gaining 0.8% against the dollar.

There are also serious swings in the euro-dollar exchange rate, although it cannot be compared to the HUF. Now the main trend is the weakening of the American currency, the quote rose to close to 1.066 this morning, which is almost half a percent higher than Thursday evening. The Japanese yen is up 0.6 percent, while the British pound is up 0.35 percent.
