Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the 27 European Union leaders to support his country’s peace plan with Russia and to hold his country’s invader accountable.

“It is impossible to live without justice, there is no future without justice,” Zelensky told EU leaders in Brussels, calling for a court to prosecute Russia.

Ensuring that Russia pays for its crimes “will be an important part of the security foundation of peaceful Europe,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president also urged EU leaders to approve more sanctions, targeting Russia’s drone and missile industry, among others.
