Like Poland, the Hungarian government decided on a similar measure, protecting the interests of local farmers and agriculture.
This morning, a Slovak government spokesman reported, according to Reuters, that they are temporarily halting the import of cereals and other specified products from Ukraine, in line with the actions of their Polish and Hungarian neighbors.
We also reported that due to the blockade of the Black Sea ports, the bulk of cheap Ukrainian grain exports were directed towards Europe, especially Central Europe, putting local farmers in a difficult situation.
