On the highway towards Hegyeshalom, at kilometer 31, 5 trucks and 37 cars collided, one person died, 39 were injured, and several vehicles caught fire. According to the Hungarian Concession Infrastructure Developer (MKIF) Zrt., the accident may have been caused by a local blowing of dust, which may have caused a sudden decrease in visibility.
