i’m currently trying to activate the TPM on my PC (WIN 11 compatible?).
System Info:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz (processor is not listed on WIN 11 yet)
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
motherboard: Strix 250I Gaming from ASUS
Windows 10 Pro Edition
Version 21H1
Operating system build 19043.1081
Performance Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0
In my UEFI bios I found the following:
PCH-FW-Configuration
after that comes:
TPM Device Selection: here is: “Discrete TPM” set, you can switch to “Firmware TPM”
A warning message will then appear:
……The firmware TPM key is stored in the data area under Intel ME as soon as you enable Intel PTT and Windows Bitlocker for drive encryption…
If I lose this key, nothing will work anymore.
I just want to activate the TPM 2.0. I have no idea about Bitlocker.
Could someone please help me here?
Can I safely set the switch to “Firmware TPM” without the encryption being activated right away.
Could you switch back to “Discrete TPM” later?
Answer: TPM 2.0 Is WIN 11 suitable?
TPM Device Selection: here is: “Discrete TPM” set, you can switch to “Firmware TPM”
So is a TPM already active? Or is it currently set to “Disabled” or something similar?
A warning message will then appear:

If I lose this key, nothing will work anymore.
Sure. But you don’t have to activate Bitlocker.
I just want to activate the TPM 2.0. I have no idea about Bitlocker.
Then just activate the TPM 2.0 and leave out Bitlocker.
Can I safely set the switch to “Firmware TPM” without the encryption being activated right away.
Sure, but this is probably not a TPM 2.0, but probably a TPM 1.2, which doesn’t help you either.
Could you switch back to “Discrete TPM” later?
As long as the system is not encrypted, you can change or switch off the TPM as you like.

Let’s say we create a new – DWORD (32-bit) and we’ll write a BypassRAMCheck.
Let’s say we create a new – DWORD (32-bit) and we’ll write a BypassSecureBootCheck.
Let’s say we create a new – DWORD (32-bit) and we’ll write a BypassTPMCheck.
Then we will add 1 value to these values
After doing all the operation, let’s turn off the screen and turn off the bios screen as well. You can continue the installation when we say Next.
