Tottenham Hotspur are set to hold one-on-one talks with Luis Enrique on the possibility of becoming their new manager. 90 minutes he understands.
Spurs continue their search for a permanent successor to Antonio Conte following his sacking in late March.
Conte’s former assistant Cristian Stellini is currently in charge but has won just one of his three matches this month. He has been vocal in criticizing the squad’s mentality following Saturday’s 3-2 home defeat to Bournemouth, echoing sentiments from Conte’s explosive final press conference before his sacking.
90 minutes has previously reported that Enrique is someone Spurs would be interested in discussing their vacancy and, following positive discussions with his representatives, should sit down with the former Barcelona and Spain manager in person.
Enrique is happy to speak to Tottenham, although he has also been interviewed by rivals Chelsea in recent weeks about their manager’s work. Julian Nagelsman too held discussions with the Blues, and while he’s on Spurs’ radar, the German is currently unconvinced from work in North London.

Tottenham are also keen to speak to Feyenoord manager Arne Slot, with the Rotterdam side on the cusp of their first Eredivisie title in six years.
Slot guided Feyenoord to the Europa Conference League final last season but were defeated by Jose Mourinho’s Roma. They are currently leading 1-0 against the Giallorossi in this year’s Europa League quarter-finals, with the return leg scheduled for Thursday at the Stadio Olimpico.
Spurs fans have been chanting former manager Mauricio Pochettino’s name in their last two home games. 90 minutes understands there are no active discussions between the Argentine and the club about a reunion at this stage, although due to their storied history, any reappointments are unlikely to require him to undergo a lengthy interview process.
Pochettino’s longtime assistant Jesus Perez has stirred the pot in recent months with a series of cryptic social media posts either teasing a return to Tottenham or allegedly reacting obliquely to issues at the club.
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany and Sporting CP’s Ruben Amorim are two other names on Tottenham’s shortlist.
