La République en Marche (LREM), the party founded by French President Emmanuel Macron, will change name in view of the legislative elections of 12 and 19 June: it will be called Renaissance (which in Italian means “Renaissance”). This was announced Thursday during a press conference by Stanislas Guerini, president of the party.
La République en Marche was founded in 2016 by Emmanuel Macron, who at the time was Minister of Economy in the government of Manuel Valls: initially it was only called En Marche but changed its name after Macron’s victory in the 2017 presidential elections.
