Today, the BUX index ended the day down 0.2 percent compared to its last closing value. The BUX index is currently above its 200-day moving average, so we can talk about a long-term upward trend, but the index fell below its 20- and 50-day moving averages, which indicates a short- and medium-term trend.
Evolution of the value of BUX
The mood was not good on the Hungarian stock market, among the blue chips, OTP and Richter fell, while only Magyar Telekom rose.
The mood was good for Hungarian midcap stocks, BIF and Graphisoft Park led the way with increases of 7.6 and 3.8 percent respectively, Alteo was at the bottom of the list with a 2.1 percent increase.
The largest turnover today was in OTP’s papers, HUF 2.0 billion worth of company shares changed hands, but the Top 5 also included the shares of Richter, Mol, Magyar Telekom and Opus.
