The government has already taken action: it is introducing an import ban on 24 goods from Ukraine in Hungary

The government took this step shortly after the European Union announced that the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain would end on September 15, as planned. the regulation will not be extended.

The regulation prohibits the importation of many goods, for example

  • beef, pork, sheep and goat, as well as chicken,
  • wheat, rye, barley, corn (and their products),
  • vegetables,
  • sugar
  • and wine

from September 16, it cannot be imported from Ukraine into the territory of the country.

Pursuant to the decree, the ban cannot be applied to shipments that leave the territory of the country within 15 days, i.e. presumably was brought to Hungary for transit.
