The draft of the rule change was already published at the end of March, and no substantive changes were made. Thus, in response to the administrative difficulties resulting from the termination of the home renovation subsidy, the government ensures the simplification and flexibility of the use of the baby loan.
The amendment makes two main changes: it extends the deadline for applying for a baby loan from 60 to 180 days, and it also provides an opportunity to ensure that those who submit applications for home renovation subsidies before the deadline and are rejected do not end up in a worse situation than those who meet the deadline.
In the case of applications submitted in electronic form, the evaluation deadline can be extended once by 45 days. The purpose of the amendment was to make administration simpler and to take individual life situations into account, according to the draft’s rationale.
