About 700 people attended a techno rave in a church in the German city of Erfurt on Saturday.
Entitled “Rave like God”, the event lasted for six hours.
“It was fantastic and better than we had hoped for,” vicar and organizer Anne Heisig said on Sunday.
Long lines had formed outside the church. Where the altar would normally be, three DJs spun their tracks as desks were moved to create a dance floor.
“The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly, there was a crowd that was really ecstatic dancing,” added Heisig.
