A Japanese magazine says that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is in a “herbal condition” after having a heart surgery earlier this month. China sent a team to North Korea to check out Kim Jong-un, including medical experts, according to three people who knew the situation.

The trip by Chinese doctors and officials comes amid conflicting reports on the health of the North Korean ruler. It was not immediately clear what the Chinese team’s journey was to Kim’s health. The North Korean media did not mention Kim’s health or where it came from, although other media reports have launched international speculations about its well-being.

The Chinese expert told the magazine that Kim was holding her chest and fell to the ground by visiting the countryside earlier this month. A doctor accompanying Kim performed CPR and took her to a nearby hospital. According to a weekly magazine believed to be 36, Kim needed a stent procedure that required blood to be inserted into a blood tube that flows into the heart.

Reuters objected to South Korean government officials and the Liaison Department and subsequent reports showing that a Chinese official was seriously endangered after surgery. South Korean officials said they did not detect any unusual signs of activity in North Korea. Kim is a third generation hereditary leader who came to power after his father, Kim Jong-il, died of a heart attack in 2011. He has visited China four times since 2018. Trump held unprecedented summits with Kim in 2018 and 2019 as part of North Korea’s offer to persuade to give up its nuclear arsenal.

Other unverified reports attributed to senior party sources in Beijing said a stent placement operation went wrong because the surgeon’s hands were shaking badly.
