After two winter seasons practically skipped completely (here we wrote about the opening at risk also in this one), in the middle of the one in progress the rules for skiing change, to be respected also to avoid receiving high fines.
The most important changes established by the legislative decree 40 of 28 February 2021 which reformed the amateur activity on the snow are: the helmet obligation for minors 18 years

whoever goes down must do so keeping away from downstream skiers; you can overtake both upstream and downstream but on condition that there is sufficient space and visibility; at intersections you have to change the trajectory and reduce the speed; do not stop near bumps or in places with no visibility; in in the event of falls, the slope must be cleared as soon as possible; providing assistance is an obligation and those who do not, or do not call for help, risk a penalty from 250 to one thousand $; it is not possible to travel the ski slopes on foot or with snowshoes “except in cases of urgent need”; The provision also establishes a ban on skiing after having taken alcohol or drugs: those who, following checks, will be found on the track under the influence of these substances may be subject to sanctions from 250 $ at 1. 000 $ , as required by the article 31 of the law (here we had anticipated the new rules on the track from insurance to alcohol testing).
