Sportbladet can reveal it two days after the club secured their 13th gold in the Swedish league.

Former Edsbyn crowd favorite Simon Jansson, 31, has been a pro in Russian Kuzbass this season. Before moving east, he left a farewell gift to the fans: a newly written three-year contract that will go into effect on the day he returns to Sweden’s Bandy.
Now Sportbladet can tell you that Simon Jansson and Edsbyn, who won their 13th gold in the Swedish championship on Saturday, have terminated the long-term deal even before it went into effect.
According to credible information, the parties must have agreed on a breakup as early as January, shortly after Sportbladet revealed that Jansson trained with local rival Bollnäs over the New Year holidays at home in Sweden.
That Simon Jansson did not train with Edsbyn after New Year’s Eve, club manager Franco Bergman later explained that the team wanted “peace and quiet” before the Hälsingland derby against Broberg.
For Bandypuls Simon Jansson later justified his high-profile decision by saying he no longer feels welcome in Edsbyn’s locker room.

Edsbyn’s club manager Franco Bergman now confirms that the parties have gone their separate ways.
– Yes, we did. We talked about it and had a nice discussion with Simon. Then we’ll see where he ends up in the future, he says.
After declining to comment initially, Simon Jansson also confirms that the contract has been terminated, and that it already happened in January.
– We agreed. It was I who wanted to break it. I was incredibly hurt and disappointed with the way Edsbyn acted against me in this mid-January breakthrough. He left deep traces on me, he says – and points out that the dialogue with Franco Bergman in particular was good.
Rumors about Bollnäs
After breaking up with Edsbyn, there are now rumors that Bollnäs in particular could be an alternative for the national team midfielder. Bollnäs secured a new contract for the elite league on Thursday via a highly dramatic qualification.
– I have been there and trained (in January), and it is clear that then they asked me how I think about the future. I still have a one year contract with Kuzbass, that’s all I know right now, even if it’s a special situation. I don’t know outside or inside, says Simon Jansson.
Jansson scored a goal and two assists on Sunday when Kuzbass beat big club SKA Neftyanik, with Tuomas Määttä on the squad, 7-3 in a match for third place in the Russian league.
