The Yeomen Warders of the Tower of London, nicknamed the ‘Beefeaters’, open the Tower to the public on the first day in a new uniform to celebrate the change of monarch. Yeoman Warder Blue Undress uniforms were made by Kashket & Partners specialist designer workers. As part of the process, each of the Yeomen Warders was measured at the Tower, before shell fillets (uniform contours) were created and production commenced, with the crown and CR cipher added last. Each new Blue Undress uniform takes a minimum of 30 hours to complete, with jacket weights ranging from 2.3kg to 3kg.
