Russian President Vladimir Putin has a great desire to cause a major famine with global consequences in the next few years, so the regime of the aggressor state must be stopped as soon as possible, Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said in an interview with “Radio Freedom”.

“What is Putin doing? Putin has a great desire that in the next year, two, three years there will be a phenomenon like famine. And the fact that we will no longer be able to supply as much food as we used to supply as a country that feeds a large part of the world’s population so far – Putin will use it. (..) These so-called hunger migrants have to appear somewhere,” Danilov said.

“We’re talking about destruction today. Of course, it hurts us, and that’s the number one issue for us – it’s the lives of our citizens, the citizens that this scoundrel is destroying. It’s the destruction of our infrastructure that they do almost every day. But there is still a third question,” said Danilov.

“It is a question of world hunger, which Putin is programming, if he does not put an end to this issue now. And why does the world not understand it? It is difficult for me to say,” admitted Danilov.
