Putin and Xi expand strategic partnership to 2030

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed two agreements to extend their strategic partnership until 2030, with Russian state television broadcasting the ceremony held in the Kremlin.

Xi paid tribute to the “constructive talks” he held with the Russian leader.

Xi referred to an expansion of trade and economic cooperation with Russia, with China exporting more electronic goods.

Putin said further gas deliveries to China had been agreed and the two countries planned to expand their transportation links by building roads and bridges.
