Today, the BUX index ended the day up 0.6 percent compared to its last closing value. The BUX index is currently above its 200-day moving average, so we can talk about a long-term upward trend, but the index fell below its 20- and 50-day moving averages, which indicates a short- and medium-term trend.
Evolution of the value of BUX
The mood on the Hungarian stock exchange was basically good, among the blue chips OTP, Magyar Telekom and Richter rose, while only Mol fell.
The mood was good for Hungarian midcap shares, PannErgy and BIF led the way with increases of 2.2 and 1.0 percent respectively, and Masterplast was at the end of the list with an increase of 0.9 percent.
The largest turnover today was in OTP’s papers, HUF 5.2 billion worth of company shares changed hands, but the Top 5 also included the shares of Richter, Mol, Magyar Telekom and Masterplast.
