AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said on Friday that the government was considering lifting social distancing measures on 20 September, with the number of COVID cases – 19 in the Netherlands falling.
Mark Rutte nevertheless added that it was necessary to maintain certain restrictions such as the closing of nightclubs and restaurants after midnight.
In June, the number of new coronavirus cases in the Netherlands had increased sixfold after restrictions were eased.
Almost two-thirds of the Dutch population over 14 years is fully vaccinated .
