Mike Pence teases a presidential run in Iowa stump speech for Republican midterm candidates
.
Former Vice President Mike Pence hinted during a Saturday address at the Bremer County GOP Annual Summer Chill and Grill in Waverly, Iowa that he is leaving the door open to seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for a potential White House run in 2024.
Pence’s remarks were part of a broader stump speech in support of United States Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and other Republican candidates hoping to strip Democrats of their slim congressional majorities in the November midterm elections.
“In these 80 days, we need to remind the American people that we can have a strong nation, we can have secure borders, we can have a prosperous economy, we can defend all the God-given liberties enshrined in our Constitution, but it will take Republican leadership at every level to do it,” Pence said as reported by ABC News.

Pence revealed to voters that he had stopped in Iowa “for one reason and one reason only, and that is that Iowa and America needs six more years of Senator Chuck Grassley,” who will turn 89 years old on September 17th.
