
Although Katherine Heigl he’s a big Hollywood star, he knew he didn’t want to reside in the City of Angels, especially with his three children, Naleigh14, Adelaide10, and Joshua6 years old, who she shares with her husband Josh Kelly.
“My manager, my agent, my lawyer, they’re all like, ‘Hey, you probably should read that script we sent you two weeks ago…'” Heigl said AND! News. “I’m like, ‘Rightright, right, right…’ I just focus on the world I’m in now.”
“I could sort of decompress and let that frantic part of me go — a little,” she added. “I don’t know if in any career you can ever completely stop dealing, but being able to separate it a little bit and pick out those hustle moments rather than constantly being in it has been really important to me.”

Now living on a ranch in Utah, he couldn’t be happier with his decision. “I didn’t know how to raise them in Los Angeles,” she said of her children. “So I felt like I could do it here. I might be more on top of the things that scare me and I might be more on top of what kind of friends they have and places they’re going, what kind of activities they’re involved in — and what the hell are they doing on their phones!”
“I can no longer easily take them out of school systems and put them in completely new cities and environments,” he explained of filming on different sets. “I’ve had to live with that aspect of what I do for work, me I have to leave my family.”
“I call the kids probably two, three nights a week,” Heigl continued. “I’m not FaceTiming every day — I’m at work, have crappy cell service or terrible WiFi. You need to be able to let it go.”

“I’m sure I’ll pay for their therapy and mine,” she joked.
As for whether the 27 Dresses alum wants to add to his brood, he replied bluntly: “Enough.”
