From April 17, the route of bus 49 towards Sarkandaugava will be extended to the newly created stop “Daudersala” at the intersection of Tvaika and Sliežu streets, informed the company “Rīgas satiksme”.

From April 17, the route of bus 49 towards Sarkandaugava will be extended to the newly created stop “Daudersala” at the intersection of Tvaika and Sliežu streets, informed the company “Rīgas satiksme”.
In the direction to Ķengarag, bus 49 will continue to Višķu Street.
The mentioned changes will improve both the safety of bus route 49 and reduce duplication of routes.
From April 17, the name of the stop “MAN TESS” will also be changed to “Aldaris”, so the names of the stops nearby for both directions of movement will be the same and will give a uniform idea of the location of the stops.
Changes are also being made to the names of tram 5 stops located near the intersection of Tvaika and Sliežu streets, at the terminus of the new bus 49 route. In order for all nearby stops to have the same name, the stop “Tvaika iela” (in both directions) of tram route 5 will be renamed “Daudersala”.
