The police have yet to provide detailed information about the circumstances under which the boy disappeared.

As reported, on Sunday around 9:10 a.m., information was received from an eyewitness that an approximately three-year-old boy was found on the street in Jēkabpils, Rīgas street 218, who is alone and looks lost.

The boy could not give his first name or place of residence. He was taken to Jēkabpils hospital, but in the meantime, the police issued a statement asking people who recognize the boy’s relatives to come forward.
