(Teleborsa) – German production on the rise in January 2022. According to the German Statistical Office Destatis, industrial production showed a 2.7% monthly increase, after + 1.1% in December (figure revised by a preliminary of -0.3%). The figure is even better than analysts’ estimates, who had predicted a 0.5% rise.
Every year one highlights growth of 1.8% from the previous -2.7%. Compared to February 2020, the month before the pandemic restrictions were imposed, production in January 2022 was 3% lower (adjusted for seasonality and calendar effects).
The figure that excludes energy and construction records an increase of 1.3%. The production of power fell by 0.1%, while that in buildings it increased by 10.1% (which benefited from the mild climate).
