He was asked to arrest four men after the riots over the Easter weekend in Örebro. Three of the men are in their 20s and one in their 30s, according to local media.

All are suspected of severe blue light sabotage.

“After a well-executed raid by the police and interrogation, the four admit they were on the scene, but deny the crime. They have no known links to the criminal environment of the gangs and are not known to us from before. However, we have extensive image material and good state of evidence, “Chief Prosecutor Per-Erik Rinsell said in a press release.

The men were arrested and detained on Friday. They are the first to be jailed for the violent Örebro uprising on Good Friday.

About 30 other people have been identified and suspected of crimes.

“We have great confidence in our investigations and have high hopes of reaching a conviction and prosecution. We continue to work aggressively with the upcoming preliminary investigations,” Emelie Bodegrim, the police chief for the investigation, said in a comment.
