when Orli Gottesmann he first landed the audition for the hit Paramount+ series Yellowstone, she had no idea what she was going to find. At first, the rising star wasn’t interested in watching the series, but then she got sucked in and started liking it. “After that, I got really hooked, and when I got on set, I had ffinished four seasons,” the actress, who played 16-year-old Halie, a confident, fun and outgoing girl who gravitates towards Little Finncharacter of Carter.
Gottesman recalls getting the call telling her she was being cast in the series while sitting in a movie theater with her family. “My manager yelled at me!” she jokes. “I booked it and the whole shooting process was smooth and really easy. I got to meet everyone and everyone was super welcoming. The whole cast was humble and it’s an incredible opportunity – and the fact that everyone was so kind and generous made it so much better.”

The most challenging part is the fact that I have experience with horses, but not a huge amount. I’ve had to learn how to get used to being with them, which helped me step out of my comfort zone. The best part was getting this role, because it gave me the opportunity to step out of myself and do things that I never thought I’d do.”
Gottesman has yet to meet Kevin Costner who plays John Dutton, but “I was on set one of the days where he was working, and I was just watching him. I didn’t realize how easy and flawless it is to transition between Kevin Costner and John Dutton,” he admits. . “It was an amazing experience to see him in his element. I have tremendous respect for all actors.”

“Halie is super outgoing and sweet and very approachable, and I am all of those things,” she adds. “I put a lot of myself into the audition, and it was super natural and easy — that’s one of the things I can appreciate most about book this character.”
Throughout the show, Carter keeps to himself and is pretty quiet, but Gottesman believes “Halie can be seen as a light to him in the future.”
“Depending on how long it’s been YellowstoneI think she can do some good for her and help him emotionally find something to be happy about,” she says. “I think Halie could be a really good partner.”
Gottesman got into modeling before she started auditioning for roles. “I moved to California, but there was a time where I was like, ‘I don’t know if I can do this anymore’ because I wasn’t booking anything, but then great things have happened!” remember.
The Hollywood star was then cast as the Jessica Albathe daughter of the TV show The best of Los Angelesin addition to acting in 1-800-Hot-Nite.
“At a young age, I was given all these opportunities by my family and have really supportive parents who have been my inspiration,” she says. “If there are a lot of people who want to be actors, it may seem difficult, but it’s not. There are so many different ways to get into it, whether it’s through theater or singing – it could be anything.”
Gottesman doesn’t think too much about the future, but says he wants to work with her Drew Barrymore or Jennifer Aniston one day. “They are really amazing female role models that I grew up watching on TV. I would like to follow in their footsteps, but my way,” she dishes.
“It is certainly a lot of experience that I was able to put on the field my back pocket“, he shares of his previous work. “Now Yellowstone it’s a great little thing to have under your belt. I like to expose things in the universe, but I don’t want to get annoyed in any way. I’m very happy with my life right now and have a lot to look forward to.”
