In the second half of the week and also next week, dryness will intensify and fire danger will increase, the weather will be mostly sunny.

On Thursday, June 8, the air temperature will rise to +23..+28 degrees, only in some places on the coast it will not exceed +20 degrees.

On Friday, cooler air will begin to flow in with a north, northeast wind, and the maximum temperature during the weekend will be +17..+23 degrees. On the night of Saturday and Sunday, the thermometer will drop to +2..+4 degrees in some places in Vidzeme and Latgale.

Next week, the air temperature will rise again, it could reach +28 degrees in the middle of the week.

It has already been reported that the drought in Latvia will probably destroy a large part of the expected harvest, but the fire danger in the forests may become extremely high. The drought also increases the likelihood that heat records will be broken this summer.
