According to current forecasts, in the next eight nights the air temperature will be below zero in some parts of the country, the biggest frost is expected on May 5 and 6, when the thermometer can drop to -6 degrees, the temperature in the upper layer of the grass may be even lower. Cold records will be broken.
On some nights of this week, negative air temperature is possible for ten hours – from evening to morning. Although the lowest temperatures will be where the sky is clear and there is no wind, frost is expected in places along with the wind, which can increase the damaging effects of the cold on plants.
Plants that are usually resistant to spring frosts can also suffer.
In the coming days, short-term rain and snow are expected in many places, precipitation will be very little in general, the sun will often shine, the wind will mainly blow slowly to moderately from the north.
Next week, the air temperature will gradually rise, reaching +20 degrees in the second half of the week.
