On the evening of September 5, a conflict broke out between several students at the service hotel of the Riga State Technical University, reports TV3.

The conflict involves first-year students who have probably only known each other for a few days since starting their studies at the technical school.

As described by an eyewitness, a girl attacked two peers: one was doused with boiling water, and the other was slightly injured with a knife.

The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) confirms that on September 5, a call was received to an accident in Riga, Dārzciema street 64. The EMS medics provided assistance to two persons, who were then taken to a medical facility.
