Since the onset of the health crisis, the South American country has reported 20. 026. 533 infections and 559. 607 dead, government data shows.

Brazil is the third country in the world most affected by the health crisis in number of cases of contamination, after the United States and India, and has the second heaviest death toll, after the United States.
