Rafael Leao has spoken about his future at AC Milan as transfer rumors continue to swirl about the Portuguese’s future at the club.
The 23-year-old striker has blossomed in the past two years to become one of the San Siro’s star players, scoring 14 goals last season and making his way through Portugal.
Leao was part of the Portuguese squad that reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup, scoring two goals including a stunning goal against Switzerland in the round of 16.
Chelsea made Leao an important target and 90 minutes he understands that the Blues were boosted when he recently turned down early offers of a new contract with Milan.
But even so, the player has insisted that for now he remains happy and isn’t pushing a move, though different experiences still remain his ambition in the future.
In an interview with Des Cons Truir in his home country, Leao said: “Experience in a new league? Yes, in the future, but now I’m 100% focused on Milan. It’s a top club and I have a contract there. I also like the city.”
Leao also commented on the teams he has enjoyed watching this season, and praised Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Arsenal.
“I watch a lot of matches. I like Arsenal this year: they are playing very well,” he said.
Leao is under contract with Milan until 2024 and has a release clause of 150 million euros.
