Loin tacos lacquered in soy and ginger, an elegant (and super easy) recipe to say goodbye to the year

After a few days of excesses, we face the last big meeting of the year, which some prepare as a family and others organize with their group of friends. For that special night, we propose a very simple main course, the loin tacos lacquered in soy and ginger , an elegant and super easy recipe, ideal to say goodbye to the year.

With a simple garnish of cooked basmati rice , it is a colorful and full food of flavor, which will serve perfectly to satisfy diners and help them to make a base on which the foreseeable excesses typical of New Year’s Eve will fall .

The meat is very juicy, well browned on the outside, thanks to the lacquered soy sauce and very juicy inside, since we prepare it in thick blocks that ensure a less cooked interior. The subtle aromas of ginger, soy and coriander, -if you like it-, create a dish with an Asian touch that everyone will like .

We buy a piece of beef tenderloin, beef or veal, calculating approximately 150 g per person. Keep in mind that you have to remove the fat part and that you have to add the garnish and the appetizers so it will be a serving more than enough.

We clean the piece of entrecote and cut it into large cubes, about 3 cm on each side. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce – I prefer it thick for this type of preparation – and the grated ginger. When we have it, we pour it on the meat tacos and stir a little so that everything is impregnated. Let the meat thus seasoned marinate for at least 2 hours. (It can be longer without problem )

We drain the meat and put a pan to heat. When it takes two or three minutes over high heat, add a little extra virgin olive oil, and brown the meat tacos. Add the liquid from the marinade and use it to lacquer the meat, with the help of a soup spoon .

Chop a little coriander (optional, if you like) and sprinkle it over the meat, which we serve on a bed of cooked rice, preferably basmati or jasmine type. On the meat, sprinkle a little freshly ground pepper. It will not be necessary to add salt, since that soy brings seasoning, but you can bring a salt shaker to the table in case someone needs more.

With what to accompany the loin tacos lacquered in soy and ginger

In addition to the basmati rice garnish that I have suggested, if you prefer you can also accompany the recipe for loin tacos lacquered in soy and ginger with some delicious butler potatoes or with some roasted potatoes with shallots and fresh cream , which go very well in meat recipes.
