In relation to the call for tenders per the acquisition of Alitalia’s maintenance branch in Extraordinary Administration due today Gianni Lettieri, President of Atitechannounces that it has signed a preliminary maintenance contract with Ita Airways company.
The Atitech company has completed due diligence and will submit by today binding offer for the purchase of the branch maintenance of AZ and, in the event of an award, the preliminary contract signed with Ita Airways will be consolidated into a long-term commitment that identifies services and tariffs inherent to the activities acquired in the tender.
The agreement is based on the general terms and conditions of the Standard Agreement (published by Iata – Editions 2013 and 2018), with all the exceptions, derogations and special conditions indicated in the legislation dictated by the EU on the subject. In the event that Atitech is not awarded the tender announced by Alitalia in Extraordinary Administration the preliminary contract will be terminated.
«The signing of this preliminary service agreement with Ita Airways – declared the President Gianni Lettieri – is the basis on which to work for the future of the two companies. Atitech will support the company with maximum commitment and professionalism, guaranteeing priority of services and high quality; in addition, it will set itself the goal of bringing back to Fiumicino an audience of airlines of international level, as done in the past with its relaunch on the Naples – Capodichino airport“. The President also adds that “the commitment will be to provide Italy with a strategic infrastructure for aeronautical maintenance, from basic maintenance to the line, from engines to components, as exists in the main European countries”.
