Francesco De Carlo is one of the most famous stand up comedians in Italy, and also one of the most “international” comedians in our country, thanks to his past in England. Let’s find out more about his career.

Who is Francesco De Carlo: age, bio, career and television

Francesco De Carlo was born in Rome on February 20, 1979. Expert in the field of communication, after graduating in political science he worked for four years at the European Parliament and Radio Globo. Just as a radio speaker his irresistible comic skills emerge; so comes the call also from the world of television, and Francesco will appear in various programs such as Italia Coast2Coast by the Trio Medusa, Un Due Tre Stella with Sabina Guzzanti and NeriPoppins by Neri Marcorè, in addition to the web series Esami by Edoardo Ferrario. His talent as a stand up comedian comes out mostly on Comedy Central, with Stand Up Comedy and CCN – Comedy Central News; De Carlo thus decides to bring his shows also abroad, where he met with some success after moving to London. He will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, at the Comedy International Showcase in Montreal and in various cities around the world, in 15 countries. During the lockdown for the Covid-19 pandemic he participates in Tutti a casa, a web streaming program with many comedians commenting on the news lightly during a tough period. He will then return to Rai, where he will host Data Comedy Show, the absurd competition between the best Italian comedians with, among others, Valerio Lundini, Luca Ravenna, Maria Di Biase and Edoardo Ferrario.

Private life and Brexit

Not much is known about Francesco De Carlo’s private life. We know that he lives between London and Rome, and in an interview with Vanity Fair he said he is not sure where he will settle. His English experience is well told in his book “My Brexit”, released in 2019, and partially anticipated by his show on Rai Tre “All the fault of Brexit”.
