US President Joe Biden met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Hiroshima, Japan on Sunday and announced a new military aid package of 375 million dollars.
Biden said the package included “ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles.”
The aid will be taken from US military stockpiles and thus could reach Ukraine relatively quickly.
According to Biden, the United States is doing everything possible to strengthen the defense of Ukraine. He also declared support for Ukraine’s aims in the war: “We also support your desire for a just world. The aspect of sovereignty and territorial integrity must not become a topic of negotiation.”
