Russia is planning to spread false information more and more about the combat operations of Ukraine and its own armed forces at the front, warns the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“To demoralize Ukrainians and mislead the public (including their own citizens), Russian propagandists will spread false information about [Ukrainas] counterattack, its directions and losses of the Ukrainian army. Even if there is no counterattack,” said the administration’s channel on the Telegram platform.
“For this purpose, old videos and photos showing destroyed equipment, killed and captured. As well as other fake materials have been prepared,” says the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The announcement is believed to be a reaction to the Russian Defense Ministry’s announcement late Monday that Russia had carried out large-scale counterattacks in five locations near the front line in southern Donetsk. “The adversary did not fulfill his tasks, he did not succeed,” the statement claims.
