A surprising turn is brewing in Hungary’s weather

On Monday at first the sky will be overcast throughout the country, then in the afternoon the clouds will gradually break up from the west and decrease. The contiguous precipitation zone recedes more and more to the northeast, but there it may still rain until evening, then sleet, and a significant amount of precipitation is expected almost throughout the country. Meanwhile, in the southwest, the cumulus clouds that will increase in the afternoon are likely to cause showers and thunderstorms in some places. The wind turning to the northwest increases to gales over a large area and only slowly loses its strength. The highest daytime temperature is likely to be between 6 and 13 degrees.

On Tuesday cloud transitions are expected, usually with several hours of sunshine. Sporadic showers, sleet showers, snow showers may occur. The northwest wind is accompanied by strong, sometimes stormy gusts in many directions. The lowest temperature at night is mostly between minus 5 and plus 2 degrees, but in parts protected from the wind, minus 6 or minus 9 degrees can also be measured. The highest daytime temperature is likely to be between 5 and 10 degrees.

On Wednesday the sky will be mostly moderately or heavily cloudy, and there may be light rain and showers in some places. The west and north-west wind is getting stronger in several places. By dawn, the air usually cools down to between minus 7 and plus 2 degrees, but in the north-eastern regions sheltered from the wind, minus 8 or minus 10 degrees can be measured. 8-14 degrees is expected in the afternoon, it will be cooler in the northeast and milder in the southwest.

On Thursday it should be expected to be very cloudy or overcast. In some places, in the second half of the day, there may be rain, showers, and sometimes thunderstorms in several places. The south-west and south winds may strengthen in many places. The lowest night temperature is usually between minus 3 and plus 6 degrees, but in the northeast the air can cool down to minus 4 or minus 7 degrees. The peak value is expected to be between 10 and 18 degrees.

On Friday variably cloudy weather is expected, with more or less sunshine, then from the second half of the day the clouds may thicken and rain, showers, and thunderstorms may occur in more and more places. In many places, the westerly and later southerly winds become stronger. The temperature rises from 0 to plus 9 degrees in the morning between 10 and 20 degrees, lower values ​​can be measured in the northeast, and higher values ​​in the west and south.

On Saturday the sky will be mostly moderately or heavily cloudy, rain and showers are to be expected in several places, and thunderstorms may also develop in some places. The north-westerly and westerly wind is accompanied by brisk, sometimes strong gusts. The thermometers will show 4-10 degrees in the morning and 11-19 degrees in the afternoon.
